  • Eenadu Newspaper: Rao launched the highly successful Telugu daily newspaper Eenadu, widely circulated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

  • Ramoji Film City: A visionary project, Rao established Ramoji Film City, the world’s largest film production facility, near Hyderabad. This state-of-the-art facility attracted numerous film productions across Indian languages.
  • Usha Kiran Movies: Rao’s film production company, Usha Kiran Movies, produced several Telugu films.
  • Other Ventures: His business acumen extended beyond media, with ventures like Margadarsi Chit Fund (financial services), Dolphin Group of hotels, Kalanjali shopping mall, Priya pickles, and Mayuri Film Distributors.
