A fraudulent Bachelor of Electro-Homeopathy Medicine and Surgery (BEMS) degree racket has been uncovered in Surat, Gujarat. Authorities have arrested 13 individuals, including 10 fake doctors, in connection with the scam.

Fake Doctors and Medical Equipment Found

During the investigation, the police discovered allopathic and homeopathic medicines, injections, syrup bottles, and fraudulent certificates from the accused individuals’ clinics. The police revealed that the primary suspects were Rasesh Gujarathi from Surat, BK Rawat from Ahmedabad, and their accomplice Irfan Saiyed, who were selling fake BEMS degrees for ₹70,000 each.

Scam Operated Under False Identity

According to the police, the racket was run under the guise of the ‘Board of Electro Homeopathic Medicine, Ahmedabad’, which further misled unsuspecting individuals. The police investigation is ongoing, and more details about the operation are expected to be revealed.
