On Sunday, 177 talukas in Gujarat witnessed heavy to very heavy rainfall, with Daskroi in Ahmedabad recording the highest — 257 mm in just 12 hours. The downpour led to waterlogging in several areas and a sharp drop in temperature below 30°C across most districts.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel Reviews Emergency Measures
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel personally visited the State Emergency Control Room in Gandhinagar to review the situation. He also held telephonic discussions with district collectors from Surendranagar, Patan, Aravalli, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, and Kheda.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, and Aravalli, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall on Monday.
Weather officials attributed the rainfall to:

Ahmedabad Witnesses Heavy Rain and Waterlogging
In Ahmedabad, Vatva in the South Zone received the highest rainfall of 147.5 mm between 6 am and 4 pm, followed by Ramol in the East Zone with 119.5 mm.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) reported:

25 waterlogging complaints, with 10 from the South Zone,

4 each from the North-West and South-West Zones.
Some underpasses, including Mithakali, were temporarily closed for traffic due to waterlogging.
