Ahmedabad and Vadodara faced major disruption on Monday after hoax bomb threat emails hit multiple schools. The emails, reportedly sent from overseas by Khalistani terrorists, forced students to evacuate and triggered intensive security checks across campuses.
Authorities reported that more than 30 schools received threats, with 15 schools in Ahmedabad and 16 in Vadodara affected. The emails claimed that explosives had been planted on school premises.
Vadodara Schools Targeted
The targeted schools in Vadodara included:

Amin (Vasna Road), Urmi (Sama-Savli), Nalanda (Waghodia Road), Baroda High School (Bagikhana), Navyug (Sama), Jeevan Sadhana (Nagarwada), AWS (Dabhoi), Shannen (Khodiyarnagar), GPS School (Waghodia), Bright Day School (Vasna), Atmiya Vidyalaya, Don Bosco, Billabong, Auxilium, Zenith School (Pratapnagar), and American School (Kapurai).
Officials sent students home as a precaution, and they evacuated the hostel at Urmi School. Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and sniffer dogs inspected every campus carefully.
Ahmedabad Schools and University Threatened
In Ahmedabad, 15 schools and one university received similar threats, creating concern among parents and staff. Institutions affected included:

High School (Navrangpura), J.G. International School, Diwan Ballubhai, C.N. Vidyalaya, Vijaynagar School, Khalsa Little School (Bapunagar), Jiviba School (Ghodasar), and Nirma University.
Security teams cleared all campuses and ensured student safety.
Police Act Quickly
The emails threatened to blow up the schools, alarming parents and staff. Senior police officers supervised the operation, and security personnel searched every campus thoroughly.
Officials did not find any suspicious objects and believe the emails were hoax threats. Investigators are working to trace the origin of the messages.
