Traffic on the Adalaj-Mehsana highway is being redirected due to ongoing widening work on the Chhatral overbridge over the Sabarmati River. The bridge will remain closed to all vehicular traffic until May 15, 2025, as part of a major infrastructure upgrade aimed at reducing future traffic congestion.
In order to minimize disruption, the road authorities have outlined alternative routes for commuters. Please note these diversions to ensure smoother travel during this period.

Why the Diversions Are Necessary
The Chhatral overbridge widening project is part of a broader infrastructure enhancement plan that aims to alleviate future traffic bottlenecks and improve road capacity for the growing number of commuters on this important route. The closure of the bridge will help facilitate faster progress on the construction, ensuring a more efficient and safer commute once the work is completed.
